What is the Char Dham Yatra?
The Char Dham Yatra is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage to four temples in Uttarakhand: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. These four dhams represent the sources of India's holiest rivers and are believed to wash away all sins. The yatra season runs from April/May to October/November, depending on weather.

Health & Safety Tips
Start preparing physically 2-3 months before. Walk 5-6 km daily to build stamina. Carry warm woolens even in summer — temperatures drop to 5°C at night. Pack basic medicines: Diamox (for altitude), Disprin, electrolytes, and any personal medication. Drink only bottled water. Avoid heavy meals before treks. Listen to your body — if you feel breathless or dizzy, rest and descend.
